It’s been a while!
To tell you the truth, I haven’t been feeling that motivated lately to create content or write blogs. But, you know what, I’m ok with it, life has not been normal lately.
I’m also not typically one for “New Year’s resolutions” because I just don’t think that they stick, but I did a lot of reflecting in January and I came up with a list of goals for 2021 that I wanted to share with you. This is mostly to keep myself accountable, but hey, maybe you have been wanting to set some goals as well as just don’t know where to start.
I have learned that the key to coming up with attainable goals is to make them as specific as possible. This means writing down a clear timeline for your goal, with small workable steps to help you achieve your goal in or around your timeline. For example, one of my goals is to read at least one book a month and to do this I am trying to read at least 1 chapter of my book every night before bed. I’ll spare you the specifics of the rest of my goals, but I encourage you to make your own goals as specific as you can if you’re working on a list for yourself!
MY GOALS FOR 2021
- Take at least 20 minutes for me every day
- Take at least 20 minutes for Paul every day
- No phone for the first 30 minutes of the day and the last 30 minutes of the day
- Get more comfortable in my own skin
- Take better care of my body
- Start journaling
- Do yoga at least once a week
- Plan at least one date a week
- Read at least one book a month
Each of these goals has smaller subgoals to help keep me on track, and so far it’s been working out pretty well!
I wanted to end off with a quote I came across recently that has stuck with me and I think is really relevant to the year that I want to live:
“Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life“
