As you are reading this, I am probably at my virtual grad ceremony…
I graduated from my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia last month. I was supposed to walk the stage on May 21st, but for obvious reasons, I could not. Instead, today, UBC is hosting a virtual ceremony for all it’s 2020 graduates, and we can expect to have our in-person convocation as soon as it is safe to do so.
With my undergrad done, I’ve moved home to Calgary for the summer to work and volunteer part-time. I split my time between my lab job at an Ophthalmology clinic and volunteering for a COVID-19 research and innovations group on their social media/PR&fundraising team. Quarantine has been pretty busy for me!
This part is the most exciting. I am SO pleased to say that I have accepted my offer to attend the University of Alberta in the fall for my Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. This has been my dream for the past few years now and I could not be more excited. The program is 26 months long, and when I graduate I will be a practicing OT, and full-on adult…
If you didn’t know, UofA is in Edmonton, which means this girl is moving (in August)! Paul is also going to be at UofA to complete his Masters in Vision and Ophthalmological Sciences, and… we’re moving in together!! That just makes this next chapter even more exciting and a little bit less intimidating!
With so much scariness and uncertainty in the world right now, having this clarity and excitement has given me so much hope for what is to come!
I can’t wait to take you on this next journey with me! Thanks for following along so far <3
