This week I wanted to talk about some of my favourite things recently, as well as some things I’ve been wanting to try while in quarantine.

Even though things are slowly starting to open back up, it will still be a while before life is back in full swing. With that, I thought you might like some new recommendations or just a fun read!

  • Makeup: I’ve never been big into makeup, but #quarantinemademedoit and I ordered a mini haul of makeup products from Tarte, and I’m happy I did! Seriously, where has shape tape concealer been my whole life?! I’ll link all the products I got here:

  • Self-Tanner: Self-tanner boosts my mood like nothing else. It can be tedious at times, but I always think it’s worth it. I feel much more confident with self-tanner on, which is just what I need during these times. My staple self-tan has always been Bali Body, but recently I was sent Rose Glow tanner from a company in Vancouver and it has become my new go-to. It’s super natural and goes on clear so that it doesn’t transfer or stain. It’s also the perfect glow.

  • Slippers: I ordered these slippers from Amazon after seeing so many people share them on Instagram. They are super affordable and they look so cozy! I can hardly wait for them to arrive.
  • Skin Care: I have been wanting to get more into skin care lately and have been looking into the brand The Ordinary. Their products are incredibly affordable and have no hidden ingredients. If you have any recommendations, please leave them in the comment section below!

I was hesitant to get into podcasts at first, but the first podcast I ever listened to, What We Said, has been my favourite ever since.

I seriously love these girls like they are my real-life best friends, and trust me when I say that they make you feel the same way. They are fun, optimistic, creative, and have great outlooks on life. I would recommend this podcast to anyone!

I hate to admit it, but I don’t make time for reading during the school year. With all the textbooks and research papers that I’m assigned, leisure reading just doesn’t appeal. But when summers roll around, I love to pick up a good book!

I just started reading Educated, by Tara Westover. Then on my list of upcoming reads, there are: In Five Years, by Rebecca Serle, The Other Woman, by Sandie Jones, and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, by Suzanne Collins. The last book is the newest Hunger Games book and also the prequel to the series, so I’m really excited to read that one! It is only on pre-order right now because the book doesn’t release until May 19th, but you better believe I already placed my order!

I have yet to watch Tiger King or Game of Thrones, but one thing I have watched during quarantine is Too Hot To Handle. It is THE definition of trash TV, but at this point, if you haven’t watched it yet, you really should.

Those are all my quarantine favourites! I hope you enjoyed reading and I will see you in a couple of weeks with my next blog!
