MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF
This is sooo important. I find that I never fully feel 100% if I don’t have time for myself.
This is going to mean something different for every person, but whatever your thing is, make time for it, make time for you.
LISTEN TO A MOTIVATING PODCAST
I’m not staying go avoid your studying/assignments/projects/papers by listening to your favourite podcast, but what I like to do is to put in some headphones and listen on my way to class or just while I’m getting ready for the day or ready for sleep to start and end my days on positive notes.
TAKE A NAP
Seriously, sometimes all you need is 20 minutes of shut-eye!
GET A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP
Grinding till all hours of the night is not going to help you in the long run. Try to remind yourself that your brain needs rest in order to function efficiently so it’s ok to put the pen down, close your laptop, and go to bed.
GO FOR A WALK
A little fresh air to clear your mind is never a bad idea. It’ll help lower your stress levels and reset your mind frame to keep motivated through your work.
MAKE SURE YOU’RE STILL EATING REGULARLY, AND YOU’RE EATING WELL
It’s so easy to give in to quick, unhealthy meals, or to just forget to eat all together when life gets busy and overwhelming. Just remember that good food is your best source of fuel next to sleep and you will need that fuel to get through!
DON’T MESS WITH YOUR ROUTINE
Whether you go to the gym on a regular-day basis or you have a religious night-time skin routine that gets you all comfy-cozy for bed, don’t give that up when times get tight. Keeping up with your routine will contribute to making you feel productive and helping you stay on top of your health.
You’ve totally got this!
