☐ AN AGENDA
Thanks to May Designs, I’m heading into the last year of my undergrad with THE CUTEST version of the one item at the top of my back-to-school checklist every year.
May Designs does all your notebooks, agendas, stationaries, and accessories, completely customizable, inside and out, with so many adorable designs to choose from. To top it off, they’re both affordable and efficient! I placed my order for a custom large 2019-2020 academic agenda and a custom mini notebook on a Tuesday, and I received my order that same Friday!
If you’re in need of a new agenda or some notebooks before heading back to class in a couple of weeks, definitely give May Designs a shot!
☐ COLOURFUL PENS
These are to keep that new agenda of yours organized!
I consider myself a fairly organized person, and a huge key to my organizational success is colour coordinating. I assign a colour to each “activity” or “subject” in my agenda, such as blue for “birthdays” or pink for “homework assignments”, and I find that this helps me prioritize, get things done, and never miss an item of importance on my to-do list!
If you’re not already colour coordinating, go invest in some colourful pens.
☐ A CUTE OUTFIT FOR THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES
Ever since I was a little girl, I always looked forward to the first day of school because it meant getting to show off a cute new outfit.
Some things never change, back-to-school clothes shopping is still one of my favourite things, and every year I get just a little bit excited for the first day of class.
☐ EVERYDAY JEANS
We all have a favourite pair of jeans.
☐ NEW WORKOUT GEAR
Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m WAY more motivated to workout when I have a cute workout set on.
Going back to school, your schedule changes, stress levels go up, you’re trying to get back into the swing of things, and you’re probably going to need a little extra motivation to get your booty into the gym. New workout gear can help with this. Trust me.
☐ A LOUNGE SET
Simply to keep you cozy on those dreaded all-day study-days.
(p.s, this set from H&M was only $30!!)
☐ A CUTE WATER BOTTLE
This may sound silly, but just like the workout gear, I’m much more motivated to drink the recommended daily dose of water when I have a cute water bottle in hand.
Get yourself a water bottle that you can take to class, work, the gym, or even just to have on your desk at home. A good water bottle can go a long way for your hydration!
☐ A TUMBLER
Coffee on the go, in style.
When I bought it the other day, I walked up to the counter with the blush tumbler in one hand and the mint in the other, and I told the cashier I couldn’t decide which colour I wanted. She asked me, “Which one will bring you the most joy?”, and I went with blush because I knew that it could put a smile on my face even on mornings when I have to walk to class in the rain.
☐ A NEW PAIR OF SHOES
After a summer of wearing only sandals, fall calls for a new pair of shoes! In my case, this means rainboots since that’s pretty much all you can wear in Vancouver from September through May.
☐ A FEW FUN ACCESSORIES
Last but not least, I find that my outfits just get a little plainer during the school year. So, to keep my look fresh, I like to have a few go-to accessories that are easy to pair with any outfit.
This year, I’m going back to school with my favourite, Park and Buzz! They’ve just sent me 3 adorable staples that you can find me wearing daily for the rest of summer, in lecture halls, and all the way through Friday nights.
That is all for my back-to-school essentials! Start checking off those boxes, and get ready to hit the books in style!
