#1 SEE AN OUTDOOR MOVIE (OR MAKE YOUR OWN)
This might just be my favourite summer activity! Paul and I set up a mini outdoor theatre in my backyard the other day and it was so cozy and fun, I can’t believe we haven’t done this before!
But if you haven’t got the set up for a DIY outdoor movie, Spruce Meadows puts on their own Movies at the Meadows. Paul and I went to the showing of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off last summer and we had a great time!
They have two screenings coming up in August, one on the 8th and one on the 15th, so be sure to schedule a date for one of those Thursday evenings!
#2 VISIT A NIGHT MARKET
This past Friday I went to the Calgary Night Market in Bridgeland with my mom and it made for such a nice date!
Don’t let summer fly by without visiting one of Calgary’s many night markets!
#3 GO ON A BIKE RIDE
Calgary is a great city for bike rides.
#4 VISIT HERITAGE PARK
Heritage Park has a lot to offer when it comes to dates. You can go for lunch, walk around and learn the history, go on the rides, or just go for a treat at the candy or ice cream shop.
Going to Heritage Park is definitely an easy way to spend a summer day with your date!
#5 HAVE AN AT-HOME S’MORES NIGHT
Why go out when you can cozy up at home?! At least that’s mine and Paul’s motto most of the time…
But seriously, what better way to enjoy summer than cuddled up by a fire, enjoying a sticky snack?!
What’s your go-to summer date?
p.s, if you try any of these dates, post it on IG and tag me so I can see!
