6 SUMMER DATE IDEAS FOR ANY CITY

Do you ever feel just completely drained of date ideas? Keep reading.

But before we get into it, there’s something I want you to know about me: I’m a planner. I have several lists jotted down in the Notes app on my phone that are dedicated to date ideas in different cities, seasons, and weather conditions. So, I’ve decided to start a series on my blog handing over some of those ideas to you, to help you plan your next date, whether that be with your S.O or your best gal pals!

#1 VISIT A FARMERS MARKET

Go to explore, go for lunch, try some new foods, pick up ingredients to make dinner together…

Farmers markets have lots to offer no matter what you’re up for!

#2 EXPLORE A LOCAL NEIGHBOURHOOD

This is such an easy date but it can be so much fun! After all, it is about who you’re with, not what you’re doing (cliché, I know).

If you’re in Calgary, Inglewood, Kensington, and East Village are my favourite neighborhoods for this. But regardless of where you are, find a cute neighborhood and spend the afternoon window shopping or trying a new restaurant!

#3 PICNIC IN THE PARK

Best for a beautiful sunny day or dinner over sunset.

Bonus if you have a picnic basket!

#4 SOAK UP THE SUN ON A PATIO

Relax, unwind, and get to know each other, even if you’ve been together for years!

#5 TRY A LOCAL ICE CREAM SHOP

Paul and I’s go-to date. We LOVE ice cream, if you haven’t noticed.

Our local favourite is Village Ice Cream. We always like to get their seasonal flavours then compare our choices!

#6 CATCH THE SUNSET

This one’s a little more romantic.

Find a grassy hill or a dock on the water, then cuddle up and watch the sun go down.

This makes for a nice date all on its own, or the perfect end to your average dinner date!

There you have it, 6 easy dates for any city!

Thanks for reading, I hope this blog helps inspire your next date! Be sure to subscribe to my email list below so you don’t miss the next blog of the date series!
